I probably spend way more than I should. I’m a sucker for sales, and my steam library is filled with little games that I got for a couple bucks and never played or only played for an hour or less.
But, I try not to spend that much, and most of my gaming spending happens around the big sales. During the steam winter and summer sales, I’ll spend…[Read more]
Gaming is something that I have always loved to do but as the years went on, it has gotten incredibly expensive to maintain the necessary hardware to keep up to date with PC games and console games are typically way overpriced for what they are. Games like Kingdom Come Deliverance are fantastic but there are aspects of the game that are impossible…[Read more]
Done wisely gaming can be one of the most cost efficient forms of entertainment around. Games can be brought very cheap on sales and last far longer than other media before even factoring in replay value. However you also need to avoid the draw of exploitative systems like loot boxes, paid for currency and content that costs real money. Loot…[Read more]
I spend maybe a couple hundred dollars a year getting games, whether its on PC or console. I probably won’t, but if I do it’s probably in favor of spending less. I feel like there aren’t a lot of games out there nowadays that are worth investing, because some games ask too much for their lack of content, or hide content behind paywalls(DLCs) that…[Read more]
The value of a game absolutely depends on the content. For example if I pay $40 for a game and there isn’t a TON of content, then I’m still more satisfied than if I pay $60 for a game with the same amount of content. I also think that DLCs can be too expensive depending on what they add to the base game. Unfortunately a large amount of this…[Read more]
Personally I think that games need to cost more because the production value of making games in the AAA space has grown, but they still only cost 60 dollars which is why more game developers turn to microtransactions and dlc so that they still make money of of the game.
So for the good of the industry I think that we should be more willing to…[Read more]
People of all ages (10years old children to our grandpas and grandmothers) it is most likely to see them, even once, to play any kind of game from racing to strategy or even io games. But is this what makes you a gamer today? Do you only have to play a game and have fun to be named a gamer? For me it’s something totally different. For me being a…[Read more]
I love gaming, I think I save loads of money by playing game because I cant be bothered going out drinking when im smashing an interesting storyline or trying to get better at multiplayer.
The only problem I have with gaming at the moment is the micro transactions and loot boxes. It’s just not right. In general I don’t have a problem with DLC’s…[Read more]
I think gaming, especially on the PC, is still one of the cheapest hobbies available. Granted, I don’t play the latest AAA games like Battlefield or FIFA, which not only require €60 upfront, but also have tons of microtransactions without which you’d struggle to be competitive. But there are still tons of indie games on Steam and GOG which can be…[Read more]
In today’s world illegally downloading games for free really makes it easy to enjoy gaming without having to spend anything. Therefore it makes it harder for game developers to release games that are of a good value and also of a lower price than they are now. I am a firm believer that if you enjoy a game and spend at least 10+ hours playing it,…[Read more]
I find that gaming has come down from what it used to be. Many major publishers like EA, Bethesda and Ubisoft have become “Money Milkers” with many expansions and microtransactions in games. In my opinion these microtransactions are somewhat insulting and can ruin games making them “Pay to win” rather than pay to play. It is a larger issue with…[Read more]
Gaming is good entertainment for what it cost especially if you are buying a good complete game like Witcher 3 or Fallout New Vegas. But with micro-transactions and loot boxes becoming common in alot of games the market is changing for the worse
Well as someone who is trying to quit gaming i would say that over the last 10 years games have become more expensive, but that’s not the main issue, more and more games are cutting content and adding it later as dlc or whatever and games these days are being pushed out too fast, every year there is a new game, example:Total War and Assassin’s Creed…[Read more]
I am satisfied with the price of gaming as there are many games that in my opinion are well priced for the product that you receive. However there are still some games that are overpriced in my opinion therefore I can’t rate the price as very satisfied.
I only buy games i know i can enjoy and can be very few over the course of year as low as one. I think i will be stopping as newer games just don’t seem to be any good and more cash grabs. If you find a game you can like and constantly come back to for some time then it is value for money. I find that good online experiences combined with good…[Read more]
