We need to ration residential housing to one unit per household. Rich people can build bigger homes but they shouldn’t have more than one. Also, we should destroy the rental market and allow true price discovery i.e. no companies owning residential housing either.

I honestly don’t think anything will change until there are violent riots on the streets. Until then, governments of any colour will continue to work for their corporate backers.

I worked for a housing charity, most rough sleepers are chaotic drug users smoking spice. Rough sleeping is a mental health issue and not a housing issue.

What bugs me, is the restrictions against “trailer-parks”. They seems a rapid and cheap way of providing housing to lots of people. Look around the coast and you see millions of examples (all restricted to 9 months per year occupation). Roll the concept out across the country and “boom” crisis solved in a matter of months.

Why does so much focus have to still be aimed at “owning a home/property”? In much of Europe professional & other people are happy to rent.
