Should be legal. Can’t call a country a free country otherwise.

I believe that evidence should drive policy, and that politicians shouldn’t try to fabricate or ignore evidence.

Science is the best method for understanding reality: how things work, why things happen, and figuring out the impact of potential solutions to problems. It is vital to the success and survival of ALL people. Turning it into a partisan “issue” is incredibly dangerous.

The should be legal because if not people will go to prison and people will die because Ethel will be supporting same sex marriage and will get them selves killed or a criminal record

Science is not a partisan issue.

It really is a small amount. They’re cutting funding for this but its such a small part of the budget.

If they don’t prioritize science and fall in line with Trump then not only will they lose my vote, but I will dedicate time to organizing to ensure they’re out of office.

I cannot understand why cutting the epa’s budget or eliminating it completely is a good idea. We’re not helping the overall deficit by simply diverting those funds to military spending!

Everyones worried about nuclear war and yet a moderate asteroid impact would have 100 times the impact of all nuclear warheads combined. Humanity should make furthering science a priority for a multitude of reasons.

We need to loosen up the current administration’s gag orders on the EPA! We have a right to know about the state of the environment, however dire it may be.

Do politicians just think that science isn’t important because they don’t understand it? *I* don’t understand how someone in the 21st century could even argue against it anymore….doesn’t make sense

Science is a non-partisan issue. Regardless of the politics involved, we need to support it instead of reducing it.

we absolutely need to keep funding science…the only reason i think they’re stopping it anyways is because they either want to hoard all of what’s invented to themselves in secret, or that they’re scared of what other people can create with the technology available (or not)

Science is imperative to the functionality for all of our modern day lives! From the food we grow, to the technology we use, to the beer we drink…it all comes from some kind of scientific study or process. Who are you to deny humanity of excelling in the ways of knowledge? It’s a shame that you can gladly use all of the luxuries science has…[Read more]

Scientific research is absolutely a fundamental aspect of our lives, so I have no idea why we wouldn’t continue funding its progression…
Last time I checked, we ALL use things advanced by scientific research in our daily lives, so why are we trying to cut the head off of something so widely used and accepted otherwise?
