I think that the GoPro Hero 5 is the best option for been water proof and i believe it the lightest easiest to carry around in the pocket and more reliable and quite cheep once you have got the body of the camera.
Good audio is a must with starting videos! I think with phones now, they can easily pass with image quality (May look a little weird with the wide angle perspective, but still has good quality), but the microphones in phones still have a long way to go!
I disagree with mobile phones being good enough to start out. They’re great for on the move, but the occasional photo on the move isn’t the start of a photography journey. Having a dedicated digital camera, the learning about new lenses, equipment and techniques will always get you on the right path.
Full frame cameras are going to be the best option, as they will capture the most light. Personally I would go for the A7S II, as it is known for having good low light capability. However, any camera will be good in low light if you buy a lens with a wide apeture!
?What is your favourite DSLR for both Photos and Videos?
I personally love the C anon 100D, as it is basically the Canon 700D/650D in a smaller body, with all the same features! It also has an attractive price, and is one of the cheapest DSLRs on the market at the moment!
its always crucial to have good lighting, as if its too dark you cant see the object you want to film or take a picture of and if its too bright its over exposed. so you always have to make sure the light is perfect. ;))
I don’t have a youtube channel but I do create montage type videos for my entertainment and to look back on in the future. I use phone camera because I have it on me all the time and I use a free editing software called HitFilm Express 4 which is quite good seeing as it’s free
