The low light pictures have less noise. In photo’s and video you have a more blurred background. The overall dynamic rage of the sensor is higher. The nature of micro 4/3 is that they have a 2x crop factor. Which means that you will need a fish-eye lens to achieve the same wide angle, the picture of the micro 4/3 camera will be more distorted.

I use the Canon G7x as a backup camera (with a wind micro muff). My DSLR is my main camera, the Canon 760d, which I use on a Joby SLR gorilla pod with a Rode video mic pro. For editing software I like adobe premiere elements 14 – it is very simple to use and cheap to buy.
A decent DSLR is the Canon 77d (it is brand new!) It is the camera I plan to get!

I currently use the Canon G7x as a go to point and shoot – it is very good in low light; as my go to DSLR I use the Canon 760d – good for general photo and fairly okay for filming (the autofocus could be better). My dream camera would be the 77d – due to the 60FPS and good AF!
