Great to see the Uk keep the tranche 1 and push the Aesa integration.

Looks like BAE are going to have to gap production. The UK should order another 30 Tranche 3 Typhoons and the keep the fighter numbers up.

With all the problems with the JSF they should have kept the production lines open and made a few more hundred of these.

The tactics for these planes like the F22 will be completely different to anything before. No doubt the sensors are amazing, but air to air missiles at long range don’t have a high kill probability.

I’d take a 30 year-old F16 over this POS any day. If you’re gonna replace it, you better beat it.

A pity the UK didn’t fit cat and traps and order 50 of these instead of the disastrous JSF.

Unless their is some really awful maintenance issue with the stealth coatings they should have delivered at least 400 of these.

At 2.58 watch this think fly, the JSF is going to be no where near a Typhoon equipped with AESA, improved Pirate and meteor in 2025.

Bad policy in behalf of the partner nations has slowed development, however no other jet apart from the F22 is anywhere close when it comes to altitude air dominance.

The fact the sensors are way too sensitive, the helmet still means pilots can’t pull heavy g’s etc Would have been better everyone buying Typhoons with aesa and throwing the rest of the trillions into UCAV’s.

JSF for the partner nations, is like the Alcoholic Uncle at the dinner table. Everybody can see that he’s face down in the soup, but no one will mention it. Over hyped, over budget, overly complex and under-ly capable. The UK will have two carriers and no aircraft to fly. The VSTOL version can’t land vertically on a carrier deck and the…
