Personally I play a lot of games and spend time when not working on games. However I argue that the price for in game purchases are too expensive. For example the price for Fifa points are too pircey and can put people of from playing their game.
Im all for the concept of a free game. The more you play the more you pay. Instead of 60 dollars for a game. 6 times 10 dollars for the year. This way you van play a full game the amount of time you want. Also pay to win needs to be play to win. Better rewards for playing a lot
I spend as much as i play games which is not very often, unless a game really attracts my eyes. The price of gaming increases with the upgrade of a new console. I kind of understand the inflation of the prices as there are new parts and what not in a console but i would appreciate if some of the prices stayed the same.
As a FIFA fan, I have to spend a grotesquely large amount of money each year for a game which will have a maximum longevity of a year. That in itself is shocking, £60 for a year long game is wildly overpriced in my opinion, in comparison to other recreational activities/hobbies that can be taken up.
Moreover, as a self-confessed addict of FUT, I…[Read more]
Definitely think that the price of actual full games isn’t too bad given a lot of them have an awful lot of work behind them especially the big triple A titles so £60 for a game isn’t too bad especially for something like fifa which I personally put a lot of hours into each year. Microtransactions tend to be what annoys me as they’re often…[Read more]
I spend most of my money on fifa points but I don’t mind as I’m not much of a drinker to me it’s like having a night out, so I spend the money I would spend on a night out on fifa points. It’s addictive but if your smart enough you won’t get yourself into a hole. Fifa points are definitely not value for money as most of the stuff you end up with…[Read more]
And in order to be able to judge the prices of gaming, we need to look at where they come from. The amount of work that the publishers put into the game nowadays is so much higher than is was a few years back. This is caused by higher demands in terms of graphics, features etc from the customers. If a company makes a cheaper game, with less time…[Read more]
I agree with that the price of FIFA points is a bit ridiculous compared to the return they usually give. However IMO we have to look at this from EA’s perspective. Today, when the prices are as they are, the FIFA transfer market is quite balanced, however, if they were cheaper, more people would buy FIFA points and maybe that would completely ruin…[Read more]
In my mind, I value each pound as an hour worth of my life so if the game has given me over 1k hours then I’m okay with dropping £1k on the game; in my case the games that have given me these kinds of hours are Warframe, which I’ve only spent about £300 for the 1.5k hours and League of Legends to…[Read more]
Personally, I’ve spent a lot of money on gaming itself. If i look at where most of my money has gone, it is often between like 5 games. Most of my money has gone towards the games ive invested the most time into as well (being Csgo, Rainbow 6 and league).
Personally, i don’t like to spend more than $40 on a stand alone version of a game (not…[Read more]
In my opinion, the price of gaming is tremendous for those who partake for the passion and enjoyment rather than as a profession such as streaming or making videos. The costs of games, consoles, PCs, add-ons, etc. have grown to an unsustainable price. Thousands of dollars is the expectation in regards to the cost, and to a casual player this is…[Read more]
I feel like if you take into consideration the amount of money people spend on other hobbies/sports, then the amount of money I’ve spent at even 15$ a month for an MMO is a pretty great deal for the entertainment and escape they’ve provided. I do feel like microtransactions are a crazy new thing that is almost identical to gambling at a slot…[Read more]
